The Monster Game

The Monster Game

My fifth screenplay is called The Monster Game. This is the one.

A man wakes up in a forest and can't remember how he got there.

Over the next fifty years he builds a castle in the trees, keeps a hot water bottle called Walter for company, and posts to his two young daughters every day. Two million people watch. His daughters never see a single one.

It's a comedy.

At the edge of the forest there's a wall of white with EDGE OF FOREST written across it. Nobody in the comments knows what that means either.

Nomadland meets The Truman Show, if you need a shelf to put it on. Mike Leigh directing Solaris, if you have two shelves.

My mother rated it 9.5 out of 10.

Available on request.
